Max Verstappen (3rd): "Norris can't do that!"

Max Verstappen secured his 110th podium finish at the US Grand Prix, marking a significant milestone in his career. After a fierce battle, he gained three points on his championship rival Lando Norris, breaking a negative trend of four consecutive races with point losses.

This success was largely due to improvements in the Red Bull Racing RB20, Verstappen's relentless fighting spirit, and mistakes made by Norris. Despite having a faster car towards the end, Norris struggled to overtake Verstappen, attempting an ill-fated maneuver off the track, which led to a five-second penalty.

Verstappen humorously remarked on Norris’ move, suggesting it was odd that overtaking off-track was allowed. He acknowledged the race's challenges, particularly with tire grip and balance, stating, "It was really tough to keep Lando behind me. Nevertheless, standing on the podium is an excellent outcome."

Following the race, Verstappen downplayed any controversy regarding Norris’ claims of being pushed off the track, asserting that the race stewards had already made their decision. He acknowledged Norris’ improved pace but stated he remained calm, focusing on preserving his position for maximum points.
