Weather Stops FR Americas At Indy

INDIANAPOLIS — Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) was scheduled to run its first race of the Indy SpeedTour weekend on Saturday afternoon, but unfortunately, Mother Nature had different plans.
After welcoming fans to join the drivers on Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s pit lane for a pre-race fan walk, the skies opened just as drivers began buckling into their cars. With persistent heavy rain and lightning, conditions were deemed unsafe and the race was officially postponed.
The championship will continue with two rounds tomorrow, as originally scheduled, while today’s postponed race will be rescheduled for next week at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
