Love Bounces Back With Talladega Pole

TALLADEGA, Ala. — Less than a week after being disqualified from winning the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Rockingham (N.C.) Speedway, Jesse Love won the pole for Saturday’s Ag-Pro 300 at Talladega Superspeedway.
Driving the Richard Childress Racing No. 2, Love turned a best lap of 52.546 seconds at 182.240 mph on the 2.66-mile superspeedway.
It was Love’s second pole of the season and his seventh in only 44 Xininity Series races.
Love’s RCR teammate, Austin Hill, qualified outside the front row.
Chevrolets swept the top five qualifying positions with Justin Allgaier third for JR Motorsports.
Joey Gase and Jeb Burton completed the top five.
Taylor Gray was sixth in a Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, while Sheldon Creed had the fastest Ford in 11th.
