It’s All Money In The Bank For Carson Hocevar

MARNE, Mich. — Carson Hocevar won Tuesday night’s Money in the Bank 150 super late model race at Berlin Raceway.
Earning $15,000 in the UARA super late model test on his home track, Hocevar had a challenging road to the front of the field.
With the top eight qualifiers inverted, Hocevar started seventh and steadily worked his way forward on the five-sixteenths-mile track. He ran down veteran Michigan late model racer and grabbed the lead on lap 43.
From there, Hocevar led the final 107 laps, holding off runner-up Andrew Scheid by 2.392 seconds.
“It was fun to race with Brian (Campbell),” Hocevar said. “I remember racing with him, you know, so many times for a local event. I didn’t know if he was burning his stuff up, so I was trying to wave at him, like, ‘Come on, let’s see what you’ve got?’

“It’s super fun to be that confident in the car. I know if roles were reversed, if I saw somebody waving, I would want them to go. I felt like I was pushing myself too hard. I wanted to make sure he wasn’t burning his stuff up.”
Campbell finished third, with NASCAR Cup Series regular Erik Jones fourth and Tyler Rycenga fifth.
The finish:
Carson Hocevar, Andrew Scheid, Brian Campbell, Erik Jones, Tyler Rycenga, Terry Senneker, Chase Burda, Joe Bush, Dylan Stovall, Michael Atwell, Austin Hull, Chris Shannon, Ken Wobma, Evan Shotko, Scott Thomas, Kendrick Kreyer, Blake Rowe, Treyten Lapcevich, Brian Bergakker, Sean Gipson, Bubba Pollard, Boris Jurkovic, Seth Christensen, Justin Thomas, Max Reaves, Derek Kneeland, Tyler Lupton, Keith Herp, Leland Honeyman.
