NASCAR Wire Reports – Connor Zilisch survived a wild NASCAR Overtime restart to earn his eighth victory of the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series season on Saturday at Portland International Raceway.

The victory is Zilisch’s sixth in the last seven races. He was credited with the triumph at Daytona International Speedway on Aug. 22 after Parker Kligerman relieved him 13 laps into the contest; the racing prodigy suffered a collarbone injury at Watkins Glen International on Aug. 9.

With four laps to go, Supercars ace Jack Perkins, who was making his second career Xfinity Series start, got stuck off course, resulting in the overtime attempt. Zilisch rocketed on the ensuing restart and seized the lead in Turn 1 as several cars spun behind him, driving through the run-off area and away from William Sawalich for his ninth career Xfinity win.

Sawalich finished runner-up, while Nick Sanchez, Christian Eckes and Austin Hill completed the top five. Carson Kvapil, Jeb Burton, Austin Green, Blaine Perkins and Jesse Love rounded out the top 10.

With one race remaining before the start of the playoffs, Harrison Burton, who finished 32nd, holds the final provisional postseason spot by 24 points over his cousin, Jeb.

The Xfinity Series visits World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway next Saturday for the regular-season finale (7:30 p.m. ET, The CW, MRN Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).
