Andrew Mountbatten Windsor may now be set to lose his personalised car number plate, with DVLA records reporedly showing the unique design is no longer registered. Andrew has previously been spotted driving the SUV with number plates ending in ‘DOY’, a reference to his former status as the Duke of York.

The ‘AY02 DOY’ and ‘AY03 DOY’ plates were used by the Royal on his two green Range Rovers and Bentley throughout his time in office. However, according to the Daily Mail, DVLA records show that two licence plates with the initials ‘DOY’, which were formerly used by Andrew, are now no longer registered. A vehicle bearing the ‘DOY’ initials has been spotted driving around the grounds of Windsor Great Park.

But, Andrew was spotted travelling in a Land Rover bearing a different registration when he attended the Duchess of Kent's funeral. According to experts, his new £115,000 automatic Range Rover instead bears the number plate KN74EFK.

James Constantinou, co-founder and CEO owner of Prestige Pawn, explained to the Daily Mail that the plates were now “worthless”. He stressed that royal memorabilia collectors were likely to “ shy away” from wanting to add the designs to their collection.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, James said: 'The plates seen on a number of vehicles associated with Andrew are of course only personal to the former Duke. As such, they would have been of low value and certainly low hundreds as opposed to thousands of pounds in value - even prior to his personal affairs being recently aired.”

It’s the latest blow to Andrew in a turbulent few weeks which has left the former Royal title-less amid continued links to Jeffrey Epstein. After losing his Duke of York title, Andrew has since been stripped of his ‘Prince’ tag and looks set to leave his Royal Lodge Estate.

Andrew is understood to be in “advanced talks” over leaving the jaw-dropping Windsor mansion, but may not move too far away after all. It is believed Andrew wants to move into Harry and Meghan’s former house at Frogmore Cottage which is also on the Windsor Estate.

Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson have also been linked to a move to William and Kate’s former property at Adelaide Cottage.
