Yamaha is accelerating its V4 Project, which will also be used by Toprak Razgatlıoğlu

Test driver Augusto Fernandez will be the factory team's wildcard entry at this weekend's Malaysian Grand Prix. Fernandez's surprise appearance at Sepang was planned as part of Yamaha's bid to accelerate its V4 project. The V4-powered M1, developed entirely differently from Yamaha's current engine structure, has become a priority under pressure from Fabio Quartararo, who has been waiting for a long-awaited development to stay with the team. Fernandez's Sepang race is crucial for testing this new engine platform under race conditions. Following the race, Fernandez will also take part in the private testing at Motorland Aragon on November 9-10. This test is crucial for both the first ride of the four V4 M1s and for gathering data for the official testing in Valencia at the end of the season. Fernandez's bikes at the Aragon test will also be ridden in the coming weeks by Fabio Quartararo, Alex Rins, Jack Miller, and Yamaha's new representative Toprak Razgatlıoğlu.

Toprak will experience his first MotoGP bike in Aragon, which will be a valuable opportunity for him to prepare for the Valencia test on November 18. Yamaha officials emphasize that Fernandez's wildcard entry will not alter their Aragon testing plans.
