The industry masters' favorite cars have been revealed: They break down constantly

General Motors (GM) and Chrysler topped the list. Experts believe that problems with the engines, brakes, and electronics of these two brands are significantly reducing their vehicle reliability.
ENGINE AND BRAKE PROBLEMS ARE INCREASINGGeneral Motors has reportedly been experiencing serious problems, particularly with its 6.2-liter V8 engine. Bearings, pistons, and other critical parts are reported to fail frequently, and the 3.6-liter V6 engine used in many models is also deemed unreliable.
The company recalled approximately 600,000 SUVs and pickup trucks in April 2025 due to the risk of sudden engine failure. In May, another 62,468 vehicles were recalled due to the risk of brake system failure and short circuits that could cause a fire. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recommended that these vehicles not be parked in garages or near buildings until the issue is resolved.
EVEN NEW PARTS ARE PROBABLY DEFECTIVEElectronic component failures have been reported to be prevalent in Chrysler cars. Mechanics reported that even newly purchased vehicles experience electronic problems within a few months.
In June 2025, Chrysler recalled 250,600 Pacifica and Voyager minivans from model years 2022 to 2025 due to faulty side airbags. It was announced that the airbags, while deployed, did not reach the required pressure to fully protect the occupants.
Industry insiders report that GM and Chrysler top the list of “most problematic cars” due to these malfunctions.
