Sauber to build UK technology centre for Audi F1 Project

The new centre is located in an area known as ‘Motorsport Valley’, where expertise in high-performance motorsport is concentrated. Covering 179 hectares, Bicester Motion is positioned to support the technical development of the team that will enter the Formula 1 World Championship as the Audi brand in 2026.

The main aim of the Technology Center is to increase and develop the technical capacity of the team, while also aiming to attract top engineering talent and strengthen collaborations with supply chain experts. The facility will work in integration with the Audi F1 Project’s home base in Hinwil, Switzerland, providing a harmonized and unified approach to all aspects of the project.

“The opening of the Sauber Motorsport Technology Center in Bicester Motion is an important milestone as Audi prepares for its entry into Formula 1. With this facility, we will be able to access the talent pool in Motorsport Valley and further strengthen our technical capacity. The support it will provide to Hinwil will be critical to our long-term success,” said Mattia Binotto, Head of Audi F1 Project.
