Charged 400 KM in 5 minutes, overtook the gasoline one! Electric vehicle challenges

Those considering purchasing an electric vehicle have clear common expectations: affordable price, long range and fast charging time.
Until now, the biggest handicap of electric cars was the long charging times compared to the range advantage provided by gasoline vehicles in a few minutes. However, this equation is now changing. Because a new electric vehicle has been developed that provides a range of 400 kilometers in just 5 minutes.
IT BROKE ALL RECORDS WITH ITS CHARGING DURATIONIn vehicles with internal combustion engines, it is possible to refuel hundreds of kilometers at a gas station in just a few minutes.
In electric vehicles, this process usually takes at least 30 minutes even with high-speed charging. However, Chinese automotive giant BYD (Build Your Dreams) has made a breakthrough that will radically change this perception.
BYD’s new models, the Han L and Tang L, can provide a range of up to 400 kilometers in just 5 minutes with their proprietary 1000-volt architecture and 1 megawatt charging infrastructure. This rate indicates a striking charging speed of approximately 2 kilometers per second.
Speaking at the launch, Wang Chuanfu, Chairman of BYD Group, emphasized that this technology will eliminate users' biggest concern:
“Our goal is to make charging electric vehicles as fast as refueling internal combustion engines, so drivers can leave the worry of charging times behind completely.”
However, this technology requires special infrastructure. The company has developed a liquid-cooled station called a "megawatt flash charging system." The system, with an output of 1,360 kW, is planned to be installed in 4,000 locations across China.
Although many people still think that Chinese cars are behind their European competitors in terms of quality, this perception has been changing rapidly in recent years. BYD's new models attract attention not only with their technical performance but also with their quality standards. It seems that charging time is no longer an issue in electric vehicles.
