2025 Mexican GP 2nd practice: Verstappen leads, Leclerc follows

At the start of the weekend's second practice session in Mexico City, the air temperature was 25°C and the track temperature was 46°C.
As the lights at the end of pit lane turned green, the drivers immediately began to take to the track. Liam Lawson led the pack.
As the opening laps arrived, Charles Leclerc took the lead, clocking a 1:18.669 on the yellow-branded tires. Meanwhile, teammate Lewis Hamilton and Haas driver Esteban Ocon made a brief stop off the track. Lando Norris admitted to having trouble with the car in the corners.
15 minutes down the stretch, Leclerc improved his lap to 1:18.353, while Lando Norris was 0.328 behind in second place.

As the session reached its midpoint, the drivers tried their luck on the soft tyres. This time, Max Verstappen took the top spot with a time of 1:17.392.
No one could beat the Dutch pilot's lap time in the remaining minutes, and Max Verstappen finished the second practice session at the top.
Charles Leclerc finished second, 0.153 metres behind, with Mercedes rookie Kimi Antonelli in third place, Lando Norris fourth and Lewis Hamilton fifth.
