The Ioniq 5 electric car will reach Russia in 2022 and will be available by subscription

The Ioniq 5 electric crossover (a subsidiary brand of Hyundai), presented in February of this year, will appear in Russia in 2022, and not by the end of this year, as previously reported . This was reported by the head of Hyundai Motor CIS Alexey Kalitsev.
As Motor.ru writes, the electric car will be available on the Russian market only in an all-wheel drive version with two electric motors with a total capacity of 235 or 306 horsepower. At the same time, the electric car will most likely be available only through the Hyundai Mobility car subscription service, which was launched in Russia in 2019 and allows you to rent Hyundai cars on a daily or long-term basis.
Let us recall that the new electric car is built on the E-GMP platform introduced in 2020, which was developed specifically for electric vehicles. The platform design made it possible to make the floor in the cabin absolutely flat, thanks to which the central console can be moved back by 140 mm. This function can be useful for the driver in a tight parking lot for the driver and passenger to exit through one door. The length of the Ioniq 5 is 4635 mm, the wheelbase is 3000 mm, the width is 1890 mm, and the height is 1605 mm.
Ioniq 5 is available in versions with batteries with a capacity of 58 kWh and 72.6 kWh, as well as with one or two electric motors. The maximum speed of all versions of Ioniq 5 is limited to 185 kilometers per hour. The top version of the electric car will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.2 seconds, and the crossover's range will be about 480 kilometers. When using a 350 kW charger, the Ioniq 5 battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes. The electric car can also be used as a power source for electrical appliances, for example, during trips to nature.
The Ioniq 5 cabin features front seats with electrical adjustment that can tilt "at the optimal angle, creating a feeling of weightlessness for the passenger." The front panel houses a 12-inch multimedia system display and a 12-inch digital instrument panel. The electric car also received a projection display and a number of driver assistance systems, including a forward collision avoidance system, a blind spot monitoring system, and a driver condition monitoring system.
