The Geneva Motor Show will be revived in 2022.

Organizers of the Geneva International Motor Show, which was canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic, plan to hold the motor show in February 2022, according to the show's website .

The event is scheduled to take place from February 19 to 27, 2022, at the Palexpo exhibition center, with applications open until mid-July of this year. Organizers plan to reveal details of the auto show's format later, but for now, the plan is for everyone to attend. Sandro Mesquita, head of the organizing committee, expressed hope that the coronavirus situation will allow the event to proceed as planned.

As a reminder, the coronavirus pandemic has led to the cancellation or indefinite postponement of a number of auto shows planned for 2020 and then 2021. The first major auto show since the pandemic began to be held in a traditional format was the Beijing Auto Show, held in April of this year.

During the pandemic, automakers have shifted en masse to online presentations of new car models.
