Tesla shareholders approve payment of one billion dollars to Musk.

The proposal was approved by more than 75% of shareholders, despite opposition from some institutional shareholders.
Tesla's board of directors, which has been accused of lacking independence, allowed Musk, who controls 15% of the capital, to put the proposal to a vote.
In recent days, Tesla's directors have mounted a campaign in favor of Musk, with the CEO, Robyn Denholm, warning shareholders that Musk could leave the company if he was not granted that amount of stock.
The approved proposal establishes compensation for Musk for each of 12 established objectives, which, together, will involve the delivery of stock options valued at one billion dollars.
If he achieves all the objectives, Musk would control more than 25% of the shares, which would give him control of the company.
He himself stated on October 22nd that he needed to control the company to build a "huge robotic army" featuring the humanoid Optimus Prime.
"I don't feel comfortable building an army of robots if I don't have at least a strong influence," he said.
As soon as the proposal's approval was announced, Musk appeared on the stage set up at Tesla's headquarters in Austin, accompanied by an Optimus robot that danced to the rhythm of the music.
After thanking management, Musk said that Tesla will begin "not a chapter, but a book" with Optimus.
He stated that it will be "the biggest product in history," surpassing mobile phones, and announced that an assembly line will be installed at the Fremont car factory in California to manufacture one million Optimus devices per year, and another in Austin with a capacity of 10 million units.
Although Optimus is still under development and has no real-world applications, Musk said he envisions billions of units capable of eradicating world poverty.
Musk also said that Tesla is the only company prepared to achieve these goals.
"Tesla is already the world's largest robot manufacturer because every vehicle is a robot," he said, adding that "Optimus is a robot with arms and legs instead of a robot with wheels."
