ExCel London hosts the final round of the Formula E World Championship season this weekend. It's a double-header, with qualifying and the race on both Saturday and Sunday.
Oliver Rowland (Nissan) was crowned champion two weeks ago in Berlin. But second place is completely up for grabs, in a battle that mathematically involves nine drivers.
But there are four main contenders for second place. Heading into London, Porsche's Pascal Wehrlein is in second place, 13 points ahead of Taylor Barnard (McLaren/Nissan).
Félix da Costa attacks second place… and not only
Next up is António Félix da Costa . The Portuguese Porsche driver is still looking for his first win of the season and is 22 points behind second place in the championship.
In the capital of the United Kingdom, they will try to be runner-up and avoid going a season without victories for the first time since 2017/2018.
At the same time, he will have the mission of helping Porsche achieve the constructors' and teams' titles, in what could be his farewell to the German manufacturer.
The other candidates
Right behind Félix da Costa is Nick Cassidy (Jaguar TCS Racing), just one point behind after leaving Berlin with his second win of the year.
Jean-Éric Vergne (DS Penske), Dan Ticktum (Cupra), Edoardo Mortara (Mahindra), Maximilian Günther (DS Penske), and Jake Dennis (Andretti/Porsche) also have a mathematical chance of finishing second in the championship. However, they'll need unlikely combinations of results to get there.
Team and constructors' titles still open
While the drivers' champion has been found—Oliver Rowland— the teams' and constructors' championships are still in full contention . In the teams' standings, Porsche's official team leads with 23 points ahead of Nissan , followed by DS Penske, which is already 60 points behind. With 94 points on the table, the title is still possible, but very unlikely.
Among manufacturers, Porsche is only seven points ahead of Nissan , so anything can happen. In third place, Jaguar is 63 points behind, counting the results of each manufacturer's top two drivers. Stellantis (represented by DS and Maserati) is fourth, exactly 100 points behind, meaning it can't mathematically claim the title.
