There's a change in the ranking of best-selling SUVs. Fenabrave (National Federation of Automotive Vehicle Distribution) released its monthly sales report for cars, light commercial vehicles, trucks, and buses for July 2025. The market grew 9.1% compared to the same month in 2024, but the largest increase came compared to June 2025: 11.5%.
This means more SUVs are hitting the streets, as Brazilians prefer taller cars. In June, the segment registered just under 86,000 registrations, a number that jumped to 103,470 units in July, according to the Federation. The segment's share now hovers around 57%, compared to just over 54% in the sixth month of the year.

The VW T-Cross still holds the lead, surpassing the 9,000 registration mark for the first time this year. Among midsize vehicles, the Toyota Corolla Cross remains in the lead, closing the month with 6,866 registrations, compared to 5,334 in June, earning fourth place overall. The top five also includes the Hyundai Creta in second place, the Chevrolet Tracker in third, and the Nissan Kicks in fifth.
