The AMG acronym is synonymous with high performance, and the same will be true of the new concept car that Mercedes-AMG is about to launch: the Concept AMG GT Track Sport , which will have a V8 engine.
This Friday, the first images of the project were revealed, still in camouflage at the Affalterbach factory. The concept is currently being finalized before undergoing track testing.
Without revealing details beyond the possible engine, the statement reads: "With this new concept vehicle, Mercedes-AMG demonstrates its extensive experience as a sports car manufacturer and provides a preview of a possible expansion of the GT series with a V8 engine."

At the end of June, Mercedes-AMG unveiled another futuristic GT concept - the Mercedes-AMG Concept AMG GT XX.
In this case, we're looking at an electric model with innovative technology: three axial flux motors, developed in conjunction with YASA. Power exceeds 1,000 kW/1,300 hp, allowing it to reach speeds in excess of 360 km/h.
In terms of battery, this concept revealed at the end of June, in a striking orange decoration, has an energy density of 300 Wh/kg and an energy storage voltage of over 800 volts.
The Concept AMG GT XX features a low silhouette and an AMG grille surrounded by a light strip, air vents on the hood, a carbon fiber rear diffuser, and a raked windshield. The 21-inch wheels feature five spokes and moving elements.
Inside, you'll find all the essentials you'd expect from a racing car: two screens, a steering wheel similar to the AMG One's, and orange illuminated tubes around the center console that create the image of an electric environment.
