Tomás López Rocha and Gustavo del Campo join the Motorsports Wall of Honor.

Mexican motorsports celebrated two of its greatest figures. Driver Tomás López Rocha and engineer Gustavo del Campo were inducted into the Mexican Motorsports Wall of Honor in a ceremony held at the Hermanos Rodríguez Racetrack as part of the FORMULA 1 Mexico City Grand Prix presented by Heineken.
“This year we have the honor of honoring two great figures of Mexican motorsports, Tomás and Gustavo. The adrenaline of motorsports runs through their blood, and through their respective careers, they contributed to building what this sport is today in our country,” said Federico González Compeán, General Manager of the FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE LA CIUDAD DE MEXICO Presented by Heineken.
The Wall of Honor, located in the racetrack's Control Tower, features 12 granite plaques with space for 144 personalities; to date, 26 legends of national motorsports have been recognized.
During the ceremony, the honorees received a star-shaped medal, designed by TANE, and a commemorative green jacket made by Hackett London , made with Loropiana Super 140 wool and featuring a design inspired by the Mexican flag and the traditional checkered flag.
Tomás López Rocha made history by becoming the first Mexican champion of the IMSA series in the United States , in addition to standing out in competitions such as the Carrera Panamericana, Formula Ford, and the 24 Hours of Daytona.
Gustavo del Campo, for his part, is a leading figure in automotive engineering in the country, recognized for his work with Indy cars alongside Adrián Fernández, as well as for his key role in the development of Team GO and Fernández Racing .
The Wall of Honor includes iconic names such as Ricardo and Pedro Rodríguez, Jo Ramírez, Adrián Fernández, and Michel Jourdain Sr., among others.
The ceremony was part of the celebrations marking the tenth anniversary of Formula 1's return to Mexico. The 2025 edition of the Mexican Grand Prix will be held from October 24 to 26 at the Hermanos Rodríguez Racetrack .
