This is the new Peugeot 308: more versatile, efficient, and with up to 450 kilometers of electric range.

Since its inception, the Peugeot 308 has been one of the most iconic models in the European C-segment , and with this updated version, the French firm aims to strengthen that position with a richer, more versatile, and more modern offering. Aware that today's drivers are looking not only for performance but also for adaptability to their lifestyle, Peugeot is launching its updated 308 with multiple powertrain options, advanced technology, and a design that aims to impress without being excessive.

Design and interior

The first thing that catches your eye is its renewed front: the illuminated emblem It stands out for the first time on a Peugeot , accompanied by an evolved grille and air intakes carefully positioned to optimize aerodynamics. The headlights adopt the signature "three-claw" LED and, depending on the trim level, can incorporate Matrix LED technology for greater lighting precision. At the rear, the black lacquered band above the emblem and the triple LED claw on each side reinforce the model's identity.

The range is divided into four trim levels: Style, Allure, GT, and GT Exclusive, available for both the 5-door hatchback and the 308 SW estate. The 17- and 18-inch diamond-pattern alloy wheels contribute not only to the sporty look but also to aerodynamic performance. And for those seeking even more elegance, there are new colors such as Lagoa Blue and Ingaro Blue.

Inside the cabin, the distinctive i-Cockpit signature remains: a compact steering wheel, raised instrument cluster, and a 10-inch central screen. On higher trim levels, the screen adopts 3D graphics for a more immersive reading experience. Below the screen, Peugeot's i-Toggles allow quick access to key functions. Customizable ambient lighting and materials such as Alcantara or genuine aluminum enhance the sense of refinement.

Multi-energy mechanics for everyone

But where the new 308 shows its versatility is in its powertrain offering, including a fully electric version. Starting with the latter, the electric E-308 features a 156 hp (115 kW) engine with 270 Nm of torque and a 55.4 kWh battery, achieving a combined range of up to 450 kilometers according to the WLTP homologation cycle. Fast charging allows charging from 20 to 80% in 27 minutes, and the regenerative braking system offers three adjustable levels. In addition, the Peugeot E-308 includes the V2L function, which allows it to power small electrical appliances.

For those who prefer a more intermediate solution, Peugeot offers the 195 hp plug-in hybrid , which combines a 150 hp 1.6-liter combustion engine with a 125 hp electric motor, delivering up to 85 kilometers in electric mode (WLTP) and enjoying the DGT's ZERO environmental label. The 17.2 kWh system recharges in 2 hours and 5 minutes at 7.4 kW or in approximately 7.5 hours from a standard household outlet.

For those who don't want plugs, the 145 hp hybrid variant charges its battery while driving. In urban areas, it can operate partially in electric mode, significantly reducing fuel consumption. On the highway, it provides smoothness and a boost of power without additional complexity.

And finally, for those who travel a lot of miles and want to minimize stops, the 130 hp 1.5 BlueHDi diesel , coupled with the eight-speed automatic transmission, remains a pillar of efficiency on long journeys.

Comfort on board

The new 308 offers options such as ergonomic seats with AGR certification, heating, a massage function , and high-end upholstery. Higher-spec versions add systems such as AQS (air quality), an electric roof, and Focal Premium Hi-Fi sound with up to 690 W. The 308 SW estate offers added practicality with a trunk that ranges from 598 to 1,487 liters and an electric tailgate.

From a technological perspective, the Style and Allure versions come with the i-Connect system (with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto ) and basic connected features. The GT and GT Exclusive versions offer i-Connect Advanced with connected TomTom navigation and remote services via MyPeugeot (charging control, preconditioning, vehicle status).

Over-the-air software updates ensure the car continues to evolve without having to go to a repair shop. Its commitment to sustainability is also noteworthy: more than 30% of the vehicle's weight comes from recycled or renewable materials, such as recycled plastics, bio-based polymers, and panels with hemp fiber. By mass, the 308 achieves 85% recyclability and 95% recoverability.
