These are the traffic violations that most drivers receive fines for in the Region of Murcia

Traffic offences continue to be a problem in our country. As revealed by the driver protection organisation Automovilistas Europeos Asociados (AEA) in its latest report, the money collected from traffic offences has reached a record figure for the second consecutive year: it now exceeds 500 million euros.
This report has focused on analysing the evolution of infractions committed on the roads of our country during the period 2022-2023. Although the analysis reveals that speeding continues to lead the ranking of sanctions imposed by the DGT in 2023, the truth is that the most popular infraction depends on the autonomous community. Below, we reveal the traffic infraction that receives the most fines in the Region of Murcia.
Speeding Portal radars are the ones that capture the most violations in MurciaAccording to the AEA report, the highest number of traffic violation reports in Murcia comes from gantry radars, with 56,081 reports in 2023, some 2,170 fewer reports than the previous year.
This type of radar is installed on signalling gantries or similar structures present in the road network of our country. These radars are mostly installed on dual carriageways and motorways. They are usually hidden behind illuminated signalling panels, so they are impossible to see from the direction of travel.
