The convertible was originally delivered to a customer in the United States. Over time, it became a globetrotter and, at some point, crossed the ocean to set foot on Dutch soil. The model is now offered for sale with Colombian registration and Dutch import documents.

Several alternatives The brand launched the model in 1952 with various body styles.

The American automaker introduced the Crestline designation as one of three that would replace the old DeLuxe and Custom designations. It is rumored that Henry Ford II himself was the driving force behind this change.

When this Sunliner was produced in 1954, the model's final year of production, Ford also added the Ford Sedan and the two-door hardtop Skyliner to the lineup. 13,144 units were sold before being discontinued to make way for the Ford Fairlane in 1955.

The most recent restoration included new red leather upholstery and a new soft top, whose mechanism works perfectly. It also features an original period radio. The wood-trimmed steering wheel frames a speedometer that reads up to 177 km/h.

The car is powered by the aforementioned 3.9-liter V8 engine, generating 130 hp. A three-speed Fordmatic automatic transmission distributes power to the rear wheels. It rides on newly installed whitewall tires, and the odometer reads a mere 102,536 kilometers.
