Max Verstappen gives an update on his future at Red Bull

Reigning champion Max Verstappen has given a major update on his future at Red Bull .
It was this Thursday morning when the Dutchman confirmed that he will remain with the Red Bull team next year in Formula 1 (F1) , putting an end to months of speculation about his future.
"It's always been pretty clear, and for next year as well," Verstappen said ahead of the 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix. "I never said anything about it because I was focused on talking to the team about the plans, how we can improve our performance, future ideas for next year, and so I didn't have anything to add."
Verstappen has a contract with Red Bull until 2028.
In recent races, the Dutch driver had avoided directly answering questions about whether he would stay with the team next year, and there were indications that a performance-related clause could allow him to exit the contract early. The exact details of any clause are not public.
Mercedes driver George Russell had indicated that he believed his team was in contact with Verstappen.
Verstappen's comments come less than a month after Christian Horner was removed from his position as team principal of Red Bull after 20 years. He was replaced by Laurent Mekies.
