Lancia hasn't forgotten its past: these are the new Ypsilon HF and HF Line.

These legendary acronyms boast a sporting history that few brands can boast . The Stratos, 037, and Delta Integrale once won their rally appearances, and what better way to honor them than with these new finishes for the little Ypsilon.

To start with, the century-old Italian brand has created an HF Line (which joins the Ypsilon and LX trim levels) and is available in both the 110-horsepower Hybrid version and the Elettrica version, which offers 156 hp and a range of 425 kilometers.

It is characterized by an aesthetic customization that includes, among other accessories, 17-inch wheels, a specific front bumper , a wireless charger for the smartphone, a front camera, a smart key, and electric folding mirrors.

The sportiest HF

In any case, the most suggestive version has to do with the HF, which already includes a more sporty approach and development.

It is immediately identifiable by its exclusive 18-inch wheels, generous wheel arches, distinctive front bumpers (equipped with large air intakes) or, at the rear, by the presence of a striking diffuser with a small light in the center.

Inside, the sporty seats, aluminum pedals, and perforated leather-wrapped steering wheel perfectly complement its sporty attributes, not to mention the HF logo on the headrests and steering wheel. Equally striking is the blue upholstery, featured on the door panels , dashboard, and seats.

A 280-horsepower electric

If we open the hood, we find an electric unit that delivers 280 horsepower (the same as the Opel Mokka GSE or the future Peugeot 208 GTI) that incorporates a 54 kWh battery with a certified range of up to 370 kilometers . Another indicator of its performance is the 5.6 seconds it takes to go from 0 to 100 km/h.

To top it all off, the suspension has been lowered by 20 mm and the brakes have been updated with larger discs and four-piston calipers. The icing on the cake is the Torsen limited-slip differential (mechanical type) to properly tame the considerable horsepower on offer.

Finally, it is now on sale for 42,500 euros .
