Anyone who drives can accidentally make a mistake behind the wheel. Sometimes we accidentally park in a loading and unloading zone, in a ford, or forget to use our turn signal. But some reckless acts are much more serious than others. Some of them can even put our own lives and the lives of others at risk.

And sometimes, people forget the importance of connecting all five senses while driving a vehicle. Doing so is essential for your own safety, but also for the safety of other drivers and others around you who could be injured if an accident were caused by your carelessness.

There are many reckless driving incidents in Spain. A few years ago, these incidents were only remembered by those who experienced them. However, today, with the advent of social media, some profiles compile videos of reckless road situations. This is the case with Dashcams España, whose posts number in the thousands and are updated daily. Profiles like these give us an idea of how dangerous road conditions are in our country.

This Instagram account recently shared a video showing a vehicle traveling on a road in Madrid. The footage was captured from inside a car traveling in the right lane of the road as it enters a roundabout.

The moment a car nearly collides with another while trying to enter a lane after driving on the shoulder and hitting several cones in a construction zone

At the beginning of the video, everything happens normally. The car from which the scene is filmed enters the roundabout, yielding right-of-way to vehicles with priority. However, a gray car caught on video doesn't do the same; it's lucky or unlucky enough to encounter a police checkpoint inside the roundabout.

Reactions on social networks “Tomorrow he’ll do it right, with €100 less in his account.”

Upon seeing this gray car's violation, the video shows a Civil Guard officer asking him to stop, likely leading to a fine. Several people on social media have commented that they don't understand how he could have run the stop sign when he saw the police standing right in front of him: "He must have liked the Civil Guard and didn't know how to approach him," one man jokingly wrote in the comments.
