Cyclist daredevil in Badalona: shocking jump into the void, with a homemade ramp, over the road leading to Montcada

Social media is often a reflection of what happens on the streets, but sometimes it shows alarmingly dangerous images . This is what happened with videos published today by Tot Badalona and Badalona Comunicació, where a group of young people can be seen jumping off their bicycles from a high point next to the BV-5011 road, near the Bosc de Vilaró. In one of the most shocking moments, one of them suffers a spectacular fall that could have caused serious injuries.

The two publications shared these images, warning of the risks involved in this type of practice. In the footage, a homemade ramp can be seen used to gain height and speed, with the aim of crossing the road in the air, an action that seriously endangers the safety of the cyclists themselves and those who frequent the area. In one of the videos, a car can be seen stopping on the road—open to traffic—before one of the cyclists, launching himself into the void at high speed, suffers a spectacular fall.

Furthermore, it is noted that a section of guardrails has been removed at that point, right on a dangerous curve. This lack of a protective barrier increases the risk of any vehicle leaving the road at this unprotected section, putting drivers, cyclists , and pedestrians at serious risk.

The youths built a makeshift ramp and removed the guardrail at a dangerous bend on the BV-5011.

The images show how the young people present cheer on and encourage those who jump down the ramps, thus encouraging reckless and risky behavior. Minors can also be seen among the spectators, some of whom are responsible for blocking traffic before each jump.

The Xarxa de Parcs Naturals (Natural Parks Network), through X, has reported that the Serralada de Marina Park, managed by the Barcelona Provincial Council, has already inspected the area and confirmed that the ramp has been removed and the surrounding area cleaned to try to prevent these practices from being repeated.

Authorities do not know who is organizing the jumps and have stepped up surveillance to prevent further incidents.

Badalona City Council has confirmed that it is in contact with Montcada i Reixac City Council to coordinate police presence in this border area and prevent these incidents from happening again. However, the council itself acknowledges that, for now, it does not know who is organizing these jumps and has not been able to identify those responsible.
