"His ability to lead under pressure, embrace innovation and pursue performance is fully aligned with Ferrari's values and long-term ambitions." the team says in a statement.

The Ferrari team continues to trail McLaren in the 2025 Formula 1 (F1) Constructors' Championship with a disadvantage of 268 points, while the highest-ranked driver for the Italian team is the Monegasque Charles Leclerc, fifth with 139 points, far from the leader, the Australian Oscar Piastri (McLaren), with 266.

The Hungarian GP will be held this Sunday, August 3, at the Hungaroring, a racetrack located in Mogyoród, 30 kilometers from the city center of Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Ferrari drivers arrive at this race in fifth and sixth place in the drivers' championship: Monegasque Charles Leclerc has 139 points, behind McLaren drivers Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris; Red Bull's Max Verstappen; and Mercedes' George Russell.
