Aldama's Ferrari F12, valued at 300,000 euros, is being auctioned by the government for the price of a Dacia Jogger.

The Ministry of Justice will auction off up to nine vehicles belonging to several individuals under investigation in the Hydrocarbons case. Thanks to this scheme, which involves VAT fraud in fuel sales, businessmen such as Claudio Rivas and Carmen Pano, as well as Víctor de Aldama, are being investigated.

The Office of Recovery and Asset Management (ORGA) has requested the sale of Aldama's Ferrari F12, which he has been cooperating with the courts for months. His sports car is valued at €300,000, but the department is proposing to auction it off with a starting price of just €24,890.

The ORGA assures that this measure is intended to prevent the deterioration of automobiles that would reduce their value, since these types of assets "depreciate substantially over time and with disuse." Furthermore, the money raised from the auction will go toward settling the financial liability in the event of a potential conviction; however, if those investigated are acquitted, they will not be able to recover the cars.

Aldama's Ferrari isn't the only car up for auction: there are also a Mini, a Jaguar, a Yamaha motorcycle, an Audi A8, a Toyota RAV4, and several Land Rovers belonging to Claudio Rivas and Carmen Pano.

The lot of nine vehicles will be auctioned with a minimum bid of €635,700, and the ORGA has also initiated the auction process for a Honda motorcycle, a Suzuki moped, a Polaris quad, a Toyota truck, and a Volkswagen Golf.
