Their latest model, dubbed Nouvelle Danse, is a statement of intent. It is a compact, lightweight, and self-sufficient home, custom-designed for Nadege, a dressmaker who needed a home that was also a workshop, a refuge, and a place of inspiration. And all this, without sacrificing aesthetics or quality of life, in just 20 square meters.

Visually, Nouvelle Danse maintains the Baluchon signature of artisanal design. It features a wooden structure with warm finishes and an exterior that blends natural cladding with matte black details on the roof, frames, and woodwork. The whole project conveys a sober elegance that would fit equally well in a rural setting as in a small urban center.

Beyond its appearance, what's striking is how its mere 6 meters in length are designed. The interior layout prioritizes natural light through large windows and skylights that eliminate any feeling of confinement. The house has two bedrooms, one on the mezzanine and the other inverted, a kitchen divided into two sections, a full bathroom, and a perfectly integrated workspace.

Nadege's sewing studio becomes the heart of the tiny house. Located between the lower bedroom and the kitchen, it features a custom-made French walnut desk next to a window that provides direct light. The use of fine materials, such as natural wood in the furniture and paneling, reinforces the feeling of a home for living and creating.

The master bedroom, located on a raised walkway, offers a generously sized bed, views of the outdoors, and a braided rope railing that adds personality. Below, a second, semi-hidden room transforms into a sitting area with a suspended swing instead of a sofa. The entire space exudes a bohemian yet practical feel, where every inch serves a purpose.

La Nouvelle Danse is built on a double-axle trailer that allows for road transport. This type of housing is especially interesting in today's context, where geographic mobility and sustainability are becoming a lifestyle.

Furthermore, its construction using locally sourced wood and high energy efficiency make it an option with a smaller environmental footprint than a conventional home.
