Stellantis reports a 6% drop in global deliveries in the second quarter.

In the second quarter of 2025 Stellantis has carried out 1.4 million operations worldwide deliveries, down 6% from the previous year. The company has published significant preliminary data from first half of 2025, not subject to audit. deliveries have decreased - explains Stellantis - due to the production pauses linked to the imposition of tariffs North Americans at the beginning of the quarter, in addition to an impact reduced, but negative, product transition in Europe expanded where several important models are being developed acceleration after recent launches, or waiting for launches of production expected for the second half of 2025. In North America, second quarter deliveries decreased by approximately 109 thousand units compared to the same period in 2024, with a 25% decline on an annual basis, due to several factors which include the reduction in vehicle production and shipments imported, most affected by duties and lower sales to company fleets. Total sales decreased by 10% compared to the previous year, with retail sales in the United States relatively stable and with the two biggest brands important in the region, Jeep and Ram, which recorded overall an increase in sales of 13% compared to to the previous year. Deliveries in the second quarter of the enlarged Europe decreased by approximately 50 thousand units, equal to a 6% decrease compared to the previous year, due mainly due to product transition factors. Vehicles of the B segment with Smart Car platform, recently launched, continue their climb towards their production levels and comparisons with the previous year are influenced by the break of the Fiat 500 with internal combustion engine pending of the arrival of its mild-hybrid successor. Deliveries of the four Smart Cars (Citroën C3 and C3 Aircross, Opel/Vauxhall Frontera and Fiat Grande Panda) increased by 45% on a year-on-year basis progressive in the second quarter of 2025, i.e. 25 thousand units, compared to the first quarter of the same year. In the other Stellantis regions, deliveries have grown a total of 71 thousand units, equal to an increase of 22% on annual basis, thanks mainly to a 30% increase in the Middle East and Africa and 20% in South America. In the Middle East and Africa deliveries increased by 29 thousand units, thanks especially to the increase in volumes in Türkiye and to the developments positive in Egypt, Algeria and Morocco. Stellantis continues to hold the leadership in South America, with an increase of 43 thousand units on an annual basis, benefiting from the growth of the sector, especially in Argentina and Brazil.
