Marc Marquez takes pole at Balaton Park! Three Italians follow him.

BALATONFOKAJAR (Hungary) - The first pole position in the history of Balaton Park was secured by the usual phenomenal Marc Marquez ( Ducati Lenovo), ahead of three Italians. On his third attempt, Marc clocked a time of 1:36.646, leaving a gap on the rest of the field. However, towards the end of the session, times dropped, and then the eight-time world champion made things clear: 1:36.518 ! Behind the Spanish champion were the now-familiar Marco Bezzecchi (+0.209) and the resurgent Fabio Di Giannatonio (both qualifying through Q1). Enea Bastiani performed well in 4th, while a potential rival to the Spaniard's Ducati rider, Pedro Acosta , was disappointed: the KTM rider crashed out on his first attempt. Pecco Bagnaia, on the other hand, continued to struggle, failing to qualify for Q1 and forced to start from 14th on the grid. The sprint race begins at 3:00 PM.
