Kia launches electric offensive for Europe: from the small EV2 concept to the PV5 minivan

ROME - True to the trend of electrification, Kia is showcasing its range of plug-in vehicles for the European market at the IAA Mobility show in Munich.
The Korean manufacturer's open-air exhibition, under the stand's slogan "Windows of Inspiration", includes the Concept EV2, EV3, EV4, EV5, the new EV6 GT, EV9 GT and PV5.
Among the highlights of the exhibition is the EV5, which represents a significant leap forward in electric mobility in the C-SUV segment, the largest and fastest-growing vehicle category in Europe. The 100% electric vehicle, scheduled for launch in Europe by the end of 2025, combines rugged SUV design with practical features and advanced technology. Key features include an estimated range of up to 530 km, 30-minute fast charging, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, and a towing capacity of up to 1,200 kg in Europe.

The spotlight is on the EV2 Concept, a compact B-SUV crossover that embodies the brand's vision for EV innovation. Designed to inspire with a spirit of adventure, it combines a distinctive look with vertical daytime running lights and Kia's signature "Star Map" lighting, and previews a production model arriving in 2026.
In the compact electric SUV segment, the EV3 model stands out with its bold, cutting-edge design and innovative, practical interior that maximizes space, functionality, and comfort. It has a range of up to 605 km and can charge from 10 to 80% in 31 minutes.

The EV4 Hatchback is on display in static mode, expanding the range in the electrified C-segment. It boasts a range of up to 625 km, and it also features a fast-charging function that can go from 10 to 80% in 31 minutes.
Then there is the EV6 GT, the most dynamic electric vehicle ever made by Kia, which has 650 hp and a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, combining sporty performance and practicality for everyday use.
Completing the display of cars is the EV9 GT, the most powerful SUV produced by the brand, equipped with 508 hp, which offers a range of up to 510 km and is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds.
Finally, the innovative PV5 marks the brand's entry into the light commercial vehicle market, using a unique modular architecture that allows for up to 16 different variants, making it suitable for both commercial and passenger transport applications.
