Honda Cuv e: it's about to debut: features, availability and price

It arrives alongside the Em1 e: model presented in 2023: the Cuv e: expands Honda's range of electric two-wheeled vehicles for the European market. The Japanese company thus continues its electrification strategy which includes the launch of at least 10 electric models worldwide, with the aim of achieving carbon neutrality for the entire range by 2050. Unlike the Em1 e:, created for short journeys, the Cuv e: is more powerful (it is comparable to a 125 cc thermal scooter) and designed for a more mature audience.

Double battery

The Cuv e: features two removable 50.3V/1.3kW batteries (Honda Mobile Power Pack e:), which power the side-mounted 6kW E-Drive motor, keyed directly to the wheel hub. The two batteries can be removed from the vehicle and recharged at home; operation is simple: the charger, complete with air cooling fan, uses a single-phase 100-240V AC household socket and produces a maximum output of 270W. A full 0-100% charge takes around 6 hours, but it takes less than three to go from 25% to 75% and, thanks to the durability and reliability that distinguishes Honda components, the Honda Mobile Power Pack e: can be recharged more than 2,500 times (internal test conditions).

The electric scooter's maximum speed is 83 km/h, while its autonomy is approximately 70 km; as for the actual power, the Cuv e: is able to overcome a 13% slope starting from a standstill with a passenger on board and an additional load of 30 kg. The assisted reverse function Reverse Assist helps when manoeuvring to enter and exit a parking space, making city driving much easier. Three Riding Modes are available (Sport, Standard and Econ) and there is also the assisted reverse function Reverse Assist for maneuvering in tight spaces.
