Genoa Boat Show: A Boom in Attendance. The Show's Stars

Genoa Boat Show: A Boom in Attendance. The Show's Stars

GENOA – More than 1,000 boats, 23 new shipyards, and exhibitors from 45 countries, with 123 new arrivals and 96 premieres, were on display. These are the numbers from the 65th edition of the Genoa International Boat Show, which reaffirmed its primary and strategic role for the entire global recreational boating industry and saw a nearly 3% increase in attendance compared to the previous edition.

Genoa is one of the most important boat shows and certainly the most exclusive showcase in our country: among other things, Italy is also the world's leading exporter, with 90% of its production destined for export.

So it's no surprise that the undisputed stars of the show were superyachts, over 30 meters in length. Among these was certainly the Amer 120 from the all-Italian Amer Yachts . At 35.5 meters, it's ready to reduce emissions thanks to a highly technologically advanced system and features a third terrace overlooking the sea.

A little smaller, so to speak, is the SL110A (33.5 metres) from the Sanlorenzo shipyard, complete with a terraced bow with swimming pool and asymmetrical decks.

World premiere, on the sailing front , for Cantieri del Pardo , with the Grand Soleil 65 Performance , a sportier version of the Long Cruise, here the maximum expression of excellence and customer attention.

There is also an eye on the catamaran segment with the arrival of models such as the Le Mans 50 by Rio Yachts , the restyling of a successful model, and the Aquila Yacht 50 , complete with a full-beam owner's suite.

The Genoa International Boat Show also showcased the latest innovations ready to be introduced to the market, supporting safety and sustainability . The topics covered ranged from the design of modular vessels for cleaning floating waters to the production of green hydrogen, and even 100% Made in Italy sustainable coatings that replace animal skin with local agricultural by-products. The digitalization of a boat's life cycle was also a key focus, with the creation of a true "digital passport."

The 2025 edition closed with a significant increase in visitor numbers, demonstrating the event's central role in the global nautical landscape.
