Formula 1, GP Miami: sprint, qualifying and race times on TV

The F1 season is getting into full swing. The sixth round of the world championship is taking place in Miami with the surprise Oscar Piastri leading the championship standings, followed by his teammate Lando Norris at 10 points. The latter, who started as captain, has so far disappointed expectations by managing to win only one race against the 3 of his teammate. This season, however, there has been one certainty: McLaren is the car to beat . The British team's supremacy, however, does not yet seem as overwhelming as that shown in recent years by Red Bull.
The Austrian team, on the other hand, has been holding on to Max Verstappen for some time, who despite not having a top-flight car, is still in the thick of the fight for the title thanks to several good placings. The really bad news, however, comes from Ferrari. After the high-sounding announcements at the start of the year, the car has come up against the harsh reality of the track. To make matters worse , Lewis Hamilton's poor performance also helped, as he has often appeared to be struggling compared to Leclerc in recent races. The only glimmer of light for the Reds comes from the good performances offered in Saudi Arabia , where the Monegasque at least managed to grab a good podium.
The raceBut now F1 is coming to Miami, one of the most glamorous GPs on the calendar. It is a fairly recent race, as the first edition was held in 2022. So far, the roll of honour speaks of 2 successes for Red Bull with Verstappen and one for McLaren with Norris last year. The idea of racing in Miami was born several years ago, but it took shape with a bit of a delay due to bureaucratic problems. The current configuration of the track is made up of 19 curves with the Hard Rock Stadium in the centre, the average speed is 223 km/h and the maximum speed is 320 km/h.
The track measures 5,412 meters, at the moment the race record belongs to Max Verstappen, who in 2023 stopped the clock at 1'29"708. In last year's edition , Ferrari had found good competitiveness on this track, fighting for the pole with Leclerc , who finished in third place in the race. This year, however, things could be very different for everyone. The one looking for redemption is certainly Hamilton, who between these curves, in all three editions in which he took part, always finished in sixth place. This Grand Prix will be broadcast partly live (only Qualifying and Sprint) also on TV8 for free. During the season, in fact, some F1 events are selected to be accessible without any subscription.
