Euro NCAP 2025 Crash Test: Five Models Earn Maximum Scores

Euro NCAP has always played an important role in improving the safety of new cars, ever since the results of the first crash tests were published in 1997. Since then, the tests have continued, putting the main models on the market to the test, constantly raising safety standards . Nine cars were examined here, five of which obtained the maximum score, while four others stopped at four stars . Among these are the Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 8 , medium-sized SUVs from the Chinese manufacturer Chery . The new electric city car Hyundai Inster received the same score. Four stars for the Ford Tourneo Courier , also in the electric version. Another car from the American manufacturer, the Ford Puma Gen-E , obtained the same score. Let's now discover the five new models that obtained the maximum number of stars in these Euro NCAP tests.
The Omoda 9 , a mid-range plug-in hybrid SUV , also received the highest score. This Chinese manufacturer's vehicle scored 90% for adult occupant protection and 85% for child occupant protection. It also achieved a score of 80% for electronic driver assistance systems to avoid accidents. It also scored 81% for vulnerable road user protection.
The MG P9 EV , an electric pick-up SUV , also received five stars. This Anglo-Chinese manufacturer's model achieved a 91% adult occupant protection score, and 85% child occupant protection. Electronic driver assistance systems for accident avoidance achieved a score of 83%. For vulnerable road user protection, it scored 84%, the best of the five.
Finally, at the pinnacle of safety is the Zeekr 7X , a compact electric SUV not yet available in Italy. This new model from the Chinese manufacturer achieved a score of 91% for adult occupant protection, and the best for child occupants with a score of 90%. For electronic driver assistance systems to avoid accidents, it only scored 83%. For protection of vulnerable road users, it scored the worst of the five, at 78%.
The Polestar 4 , a 100% electric SUV coupé , also received five stars. This Swedish manufacturer's model was the most impressive in terms of adult occupant protection , with a score of 92%, and 85% for child occupants. It was the worst of the five in terms of electronic driver assistance systems for avoiding accidents, with a score of 79%. For protection of vulnerable road users, it scored 81%.
Among the five five-star models is the Lynk & Co 02 , an electric SUV-coupé crossover. This car from the Chinese-Swedish manufacturer achieved a score of 90% for adult occupant protection and 87% for child occupant protection. It achieved the highest score for electronic driver assistance systems to avoid accidents, with a score of 89%. For protection of vulnerable road users, it scored 83%.
