DKV Mobility: One million charging points to drive the electric future

Among the key players in this quiet revolution, DKV Mobility has carved out a leading role, surpassing the symbolic threshold of one million active charging points for electric vehicles across Europe. This achievement confirms the strategic vision of a company that, as early as 2015, decided to invest in electric vehicles, well before they became the industry's priority.
Today, DKV Mobility is much more than a simple fuel payment management platform : it is a digital and physical ecosystem that encompasses the entire sustainable mobility value chain. With near-full coverage in key countries such as Germany, France, and Italy, and a widespread network along Europe's main transport corridors, the company guarantees its customers—companies, commercial fleets, and private drivers—easy and immediate access to charging, anywhere, anytime.
The numbers speak for themselves. In 2024 alone, approximately 755 million kilowatt-hours of electricity were supplied, corresponding to nearly five billion kilometers traveled. More than 789,000 DKV Card +Charge are currently in circulation, a tangible sign of the network's expansion. An average of 8,000 new charging points are added each month, while over 300 employees are actively working on the development and expansion of the eMobility segment.
Marco Berardelli, Managing Director of DKV Mobility Italy, firmly emphasizes that "electricity is now an essential element for reducing emissions and ensuring a cleaner future, especially in the transport sector." DKV has also made charging accessible in private and business settings: over 10,000 wallboxes installed today allow charging at home and at work, with solutions designed for users' daily convenience and the green transition of fleets.
But the company's strategy isn't limited to physical infrastructure. The acquisition of Greenflux in 2021 strengthened DKV's expertise in software provision, enabling it to offer smart, scalable charging management solutions tailored to the needs of professional operators. A further turning point came in 2024 with the strategic partnership with Smartlab, a German company specializing in charging system aggregation and billing. With this move, DKV Mobility consolidates its role as a SaaS provider for the entire e-mobility sector, with an increasingly integrated approach.
Sven Mehringer, Managing Director of Energy & Vehicle Services, puts it clearly: "Our mission is to make charging simple, efficient, and accessible for everyone. Reaching one million points is just the beginning." At a time when sustainable mobility is at the heart of the European agenda, DKV Mobility positions itself not just as a technological enabler, but as a true architect of change. With one foot on the road and the other in the cloud, it is helping to reshape the landscape of connected, low-emission mobility.
