AMG Working on a New Hyper-Electric Car With Almost 1,000 HP

With a post on its Instagram page, AMG has anticipated, showing two teaser images, a future model with an aggressive design and probably with a new-technology electric propulsion system. The operation should anticipate the launch - already official - of the first 100% battery-powered model from the Affalterbach company and should precede an unprecedented high-performance super-SUV in the new product schedule. Inspired - and not only in the characteristic orange paintwork - by the 2023 Vision One-Eleven concept car, the new electric AMG could use the compact Yasa axial flow motors (the British company acquired by Mercedes in 2021) with a power of 489 hp each and 800 Nm of torque while weighing only 24 kg each. The list of technological innovations should also include a lithium-ion battery pack with cylindrical cells produced by the American Sila Nanotechnologies. All this starting - as the basis for the new car - from the AMG.EA platform with an advanced 800 Volt architecture.
