This secret hiding place drives thieves crazy – you can leave valuables in your car without any fear

An invention allows motorists to store valuables in a hiding place that thieves cannot find.

It only takes a few minutes for a thief to break into your car and steal valuables left on the front seat or in the door panels. Cash, smartphone, keys, sunglasses... everything could disappear while you're shopping for bread at the bakery. While it's strongly recommended never to leave personal belongings in plain sight, the glove compartment or small storage compartments in our cars are not necessarily secure places.

The safest way to avoid having important items stolen is to take them with you, even when parking for a short time. But one solution could change that. It comes straight from the United States, where you can get a... headrest with a mini safe! The latter, hidden inside the headrest, opens in three different ways depending on the model: biometrically, using a numeric keypad, or with a conventional key.

The compartment, about the size of an egg carton (see the video above), is perfect for storing the most valuable small items. A thief who acts quickly has no chance of discovering the trick, especially since the headrest looks exactly like those of car manufacturers. And even if it did, the criminal wouldn't be able to access the secure miniature safe.

This somewhat revolutionary product is already on the market. We found one, including the steel safe, for €666 on Amazon. But when it came time to place the order, it was impossible to complete due to our shipping address. The headrest, shipped from the United States, is currently not available in Europe. But given the increase in thefts, it wouldn't be surprising to see it soon appear in our cars.
