Automobile. Audi is regaining its former glory in France and innovating.

Audi has delivered convincing sales performance this year in France, with the first half placing the brand with the four rings at the top of the premium market in the “Premium BEV” segment (high-end battery electric vehicles). We met Robert Breschkow, Managing Director of Audi France, who explains why Audi is back.

  • With a market share of 2.8% in 2024 and 47,900 sales in France, Audi continues to strengthen its position in the automotive market. In 2025, the sales mix of 100% electric vehicles (e-tron) has tripled compared to 2024, reaching 33%, at a time when the manufacturer's order intake shows one in two orders for an electrified vehicle, a good outlook for deliveries in the second half of the year. One in two new Audis is electrified

While some car brands are having difficulty selling their premium electric vehicles, this is not the case for Audi, as its Managing Director in France explains: "In the first half of the year, one in two orders was for an electric vehicle. The models in the e-tron range, for their part, have been remarkably successful, with a 200% increase in the market share of battery electric vehicles (BEV) compared to the previous year within the Premium market. For the e-tron range (100% electric), it now represents one in three Audis. This is three times more than in 2024."

Rents, the sinews of war

While the latest Q4 e-tron contributes to sales performance, the manufacturer has overhauled its pricing positioning through its leasing offerings. The goal is both to prioritize the value of leases in a harmonious manner with its range, but also to offer "the best of all three worlds."

A signature that Robert Breschkow illustrates by demonstrating that two vehicles of equivalent range are similar in their rental value, regardless of their energy and their catalog price. The objective is to leave the choice of energy to the customer, without being constrained by price.

Audi has launched 20 new models between 2024 and 2025. This major product offensive gives the brand with the four rings the most up-to-date product portfolio in the premium segment. New all-electric models will soon be joining the range. 2025 also sees the arrival of a new generation of plug-in hybrids, featured in the Audi A5, Q5, and A6, which are built on a common platform.

What future for Audi?

Audi will continue to make headlines with the presentation of new models like the new Audi Q3 Sportback, the arrival in Formula 1 in 2026 and the installation of the first Charging Hub, the first of its name to be established in France. Finally, the heir to the TT coupe, the Audi Concept C, a 100% electric two-seater roadster, embodies the manufacturer's new stylistic philosophy and is expected to arrive in series production in 2027.

The first Audi charging hub

Audi intends to get closer to its customers by offering the first Audi Charging Hub, opening in 2025 in partnership with Jean Lain Mobilités in Chambéry. This hub offers eight charging stations with up to 360 kW, enabling fast and efficient charging for electric vehicles. Data shows growing usage of the charging stations, with an average of 34 minutes of charging and 33 kWh per fill-up. From January to June 2025, the number of monthly charges increased by 25%.

Over the first six months, the local distributor's findings are reassuring, with 54,200 kWh already distributed and five stars of satisfaction.

Jean Michel Lain, President of Jean Lain Mobilités, said: “We are proud to collaborate with Audi on this innovative project. The Charging Hub represents a major step forward for electric mobility in France and demonstrates our commitment to sustainable and efficient solutions.”
