The new Q6 e-tron launches Audi's new PPE platform with 800v technology—developed in conjunction with Porsche—and sits squarely between the Q4 e-tron and Q8 e-tron. Measuring 4.77 m in length, it's a mid- to large-size electric SUV designed for travel, with a distinctly premium focus, plenty of technology, and a setup that's as comfortable as it is sporty.
This time, we focus on the Q6 e-tron performance version, considered the entry-level model and featuring a single engine located on the rear axle. This allows us to focus on efficiency and range without sacrificing solid performance.

This version has a maximum power of 306 hp, which can be increased to 326 hp using the "boost" mode. Its acceleration is remarkable, taking 6.6 seconds to complete the 0-100 km/h acceleration.
With the new Q6 e-tron, Audi is playing it safe to turn heads. It stands out with its robust proportions, pronounced wheel arches, and a clean front end with a grille. This combination is complemented by matrix headlights with configurable light signatures and, optionally, OLED taillights.
The premium vehicle feel is evident in every detail. The fit of its components is top-notch, and although there are hard plastic parts in the lower areas, the overall impression is that of a "well-made" car.
The Audi Q6 e-tron debuts the Digital Stage philosophy inside, featuring a curved 11.9-inch instrument cluster and a central MMI display. The test unit included another 14.5-inch display located in front of the passenger seat, capable of playing video with a filter that prevents distractions for the driver.

The interface is fast, the menu logic is simpler than in previous models, and the "Hey Audi" voice recognition supports complex commands. The German brand also offers a conversational assistant, which debuts in this Q6.
Thanks to its remarkable spaciousness, the Q6 e-tron is a family-friendly car. In addition to five spacious seats and optimal distance between rows, it offers 526 liters of trunk space. The rear seatbacks fold down and the sill is low, making loading and unloading easier. Additionally, there is 64 liters of storage space, ideal for cables or small items.
The Audi Q6 e-tron performance has a usable battery capacity of 95 kWh and, thanks to its 800V architecture, allows for fast charging of up to 270 kW. This means it can go from 10% to 80% charge in 21 minutes and recover up to 255 km of range in just 10 minutes.

Audi has approved this performance version for a range of up to 639 km (310 mi) WLTP. In real-world use, a range of between 500 and 580 km (310 and 360 mi) is possible, provided excessive speeds and heavy acceleration are not exceeded. In any case, this range never falls below 400 km (250 mi), and the most efficient driving mode allows for many miles.
The Q6 e-tron is an SUV you'll enjoy driving. On highways and motorways, it feels refined, very settled, and with low aerodynamic noise. The one-pedal system is configurable, and the travel assist with lane guidance and lane change assist works naturally.
In urban driving, the response is smooth and adaptable. The steering is very assisted at low speeds, the silence is absolute, and the suspension filters out speed bumps well. The turning circle is adequate, and the 360-degree cameras facilitate maneuverability.
The performance version tested impresses with its high level of efficiency, even on low-grip terrain, and handles corners with remarkable poise. Meanwhile, braking is very powerful in all circumstances, despite the heavy weight of the vehicle.
Traveling in the Q6 e-tron is simply sublime. The front seats are fully adjustable and, without being radical, offer good lateral support. The second row is spacious, and the flat floor—due to the absence of a transmission tunnel—allows for three seats with virtually equal amounts of space.

Features such as climate control and the powerful Bang & Olufsen system available on high-end models complete an outstanding travel experience. Ambient lighting and materials—with recycled fabrics available—reinforce the vehicle's premium feel at all times.
In short, this Q6 e-tron Performance is one of the most well-rounded electric SUVs for traveling if you prioritize comfort, quietness, technology, and cost per mile. It's not intended to be the sportiest, but it offers a long range, very fast charging times, and a quality interior. If all-wheel drive isn't required, this Performance version offers the best compromise in the range.
