The Spanish highway that has up to ten radars in a stretch of just over 15 km

Speed cameras are the Directorate General of Traffic's favorite tool for forcing drivers to obey speed limits and thereby reduce traffic accidents, although some Spaniards sometimes complain that the installation of these devices is motivated by revenue-seeking .

An example of this is the stretch of the A-55 between Vigo and O Porriño in Galicia, where in just 17 kilometers we encounter up to four fixed radars . Furthermore, according to Atlántico Diario , in recent weeks both the Vigo Local Police and the Civil Guard have deployed several mobile devices along the same stretch, with the total number reaching up to ten on some occasions.

Where are these radars located?

Regarding the fixed speed cameras, the first is located at kilometer 9.2 in the ascending direction (toward O Porriño) and has a speed limit of only 60 km/h . The next is located at kilometer 7.7 in the descending direction toward Vigo and is triggered when speeds exceed 80 km/h.

The third is also located towards Vigo, at km 11.78 . The fourth fixed device is located at km 12.4 in the descending direction and limited to 80 km/h . In addition to these speed cameras, there are mobile speed cameras placed by the Civil Guard and the Vigo Local Police in unmarked vehicles , drones, or on speed cameras.
