Renault is attending Automobile Barcelona with its E-Tech range to democratize electric mobility.

Renault is attending Automobile Barcelona with its E-Tech range to democratize electric mobility.

The Renault stand, located in Hall 8 of the Fira de Barcelona, will host its E-Tech electric passenger car lineup until May 18th, a legacy that has spanned 15 years. Not surprisingly, at the 2011 Barcelona Motor Show, the brand offered the public a range consisting of three 100% electric vehicles (Twizy, Fluence, and Kangoo).

Now, the electric E-Tech range, made up of the Renault 5, Megane, Scenic, and, for the first time in Spain, the Renault 4. This range has started the year quadrupling its sales, positioning Renault as the second-largest electric brand in the country (2,610 units in the first four months). Among other achievements, the Renault 5 E-Tech electric was the best-selling electric car in April.

Barcelona will also host the spectacular electric R5 TURBO 3E E-Tech show car, which will capture the attention of all attendees. This vehicle was a preview of the Renault 5 Turbo 3E, a modern, electric version of the Renault 5 Turbo and Turbo 2 from the 1980s, which is now available for reservation.

On the other hand, within the stand there will be an area called "The Originals Store," ideal for exploring merchandise, including clothing, miniatures, and items that will delight brand fans.

For more than two years, Renault has offered its customers a package of services and solutions called the E-Tech full electric plan. With the aim of helping break down the barriers to purchasing an electric car, the brand offers, through Mobilize Power Solutions, a home charger—which also handles its installation—and the Mobilize Charge Pass card, which grants access to more than 7,000 public charging points in Spain and more than 500,000 in Europe.

In a major development, this week Renault Group announced a historic agreement with Iberdrola, becoming the first automotive manufacturer to establish such a comprehensive partnership with an energy company in Spain. This agreement has created a unique offer for Renault Group and Iberdrola customers, including numerous benefits such as 10,000 km of free home charging per year for three years (30,000 km in total) and a dedicated electricity contract. Further details on this agreement can be found in the related press release.

Thus, the brand offers the Renault 5 E-Tech electric model along with the E-Tech full electric plan (including 30,000 km of charging time) from 99 euros per month through the Preference multi-option credit. For the Renault 4 E-Tech electric model, this monthly payment is 114 euros.

All of this is complemented by exclusive benefits, such as preferential financing terms for the purchase of the vehicle and charger, and the possibility of obtaining an €800 discount thanks to the CAEs and the advance payment of the MOVES plan.

The brand has designed a dedicated space within its stand to showcase to its customers this entire ecosystem of services available when purchasing an electric vehicle thanks to the joint venture between Renault Group, Ampere, and the Renault brand.

Renault's absolute novelty at Automobile Barcelona 2025 is the electric Renault 4 E-Tech, a modern reinterpretation of the iconic Renault 4, created in the 1960s to meet the needs of a rapidly evolving society. In fact, the motorization rate in Spain was particularly low: one car for every 48 inhabitants. Its success was spectacular, with more than 8 million units sold in over 100 countries (800,000 produced at the Valladolid factory), and it remains Renault's best-selling vehicle in history.

In 2025, the Renault 4 E-Tech electric model maintains the DNA of the original but adapts to current times with a retro-futuristic design and advanced technology. It arrives with a similar objective as the original model: to popularize mobility, in this case, electric mobility.

The Renault 4 E-Tech is a versatile, 100% electric and connected compact, ideal for everyday use and adventures, offering modularity and comfort. It also incorporates safety (ADAS) and connectivity technologies (OpenR Link and Reno, Renault's official avatar), making it a new generation of compact electric car.

It's positioned in the B segment, just above the electric Renault 5 E-Tech, and is designed to be versatile and multipurpose. With a range of up to 400 km, a 420-liter trunk, clever storage compartments, and a fold-down seat, this car is ideal for daily commutes and weekend getaways. Its AmpR Small platform, specifically for electric vehicles, allows it to take advantage of all the benefits of electric technology.

In addition to having two units on display at the brand's stand, a spectacular structure has also been installed that emphasizes the model's lines and conveys its electric nature. Considered a work of art, it is a symbol of the technology embedded in the Renault 4 E-Tech electric vehicle.

Renault also has an outdoor area dedicated to dynamic testing, where the seven models in its full hybrid E-Tech range (Clio, Captur, Symbioz, Arkana, Austral, Espace, and Rafale) will be at Automobile Barcelona 2025.

This technology, which the brand considers key to the transition to electric vehicles and reducing fleet emissions, is already a favorite among Renault customers. It thus ranks second in the hybrid sales ranking, accounting for 18.2% of this market in the first four months of the year and doubling registrations compared to the same period in 2024.

Furthermore, five of these seven vehicles are produced in the factories in Valladolid (Captur and Symbioz) and Palencia (Austral, Espace, and Rafale), which are part of the Renault Group Hybridization Hub.

The Rafale's 300-hp E-Tech 4x4 hyper hybrid version will also be available for test drive, providing the 'made in Spain' model with top-level performance. Furthermore, as a plug-in vehicle, it achieves an electric range of 106 km.
