Lexus LBX Bitono, a unique piece of Takumi craftsmanship

Artist Jorge Parra joins Lexus Takumi Academy with a very personal project inspired by the Lexus LBX Bitono. The organic cotton canvas is one of the pajamas in his Monsieur Parra Suite collection, on which he captures the geometric shapes of a backgammon board in black and yellow, all hand-painted like the Takumi masters .
The finishing touch to this exclusive piece are the cufflinks in the shape of the Lexus logo, which give the piece the final touch, transforming it from pajamas into a racing driver's jumpsuit from the early 20th century.
Parra (Madrid, April 23, 1990) demonstrated his passion for art from a young age, transforming the walls of his home into improvised canvases. Today, he is a multidisciplinary artist whose work ranges from mural painting to stage design, visual art, and film direction. With a creative energy that knows no limits or boundaries, his work is a vibrant blend of the classic and the contemporary, where the old meets the new in every stroke and every image.
From a very young age, Jorge was drawn to the grandeur of bygone eras, especially the 18th and early 20th centuries. Artists such as Jean Cocteau, Federico García Lorca, Maruja Mallo, Zuloaga, Goya, and Murillo left a profound mark on his understanding of art. His work evokes echoes of the symbolic, the poetic, and the revolutionary, and each brushstroke is a conversation between the past and the present, between what was and what can be.

The influence of neoclassicism, with its elegance and harmony, merges with the avant-garde of the Bauhaus School, whose functional and modern principles resonate in his approach to space. In his films, Jorge is inspired by the complex and emotional worlds of great Italian directors such as Pasolini, Visconti, and Fellini, as well as the profound atmospheres of French cinema.
What truly distinguishes Jorge Parra is his ability to blend all these influences with a fresh, intimate, and vibrant perspective. His style, deeply informed by the light and warmth of the Mediterranean, is an ode to life, color, and the energy of the present moment. It is his unique way of reinterpreting art, creating work that not only respects the legacy of the past but also engages with the future in a unique and always innovative way.
He has worked for some of the most prestigious brands in the luxury sector, including Cartier, Bvlgari, Dior, Jo Malone, Ruinart, La Mer, Karl Lagerfeld, and many others, who have trusted his creativity to take their visions to new heights.
But beyond the brands and accolades, what defines Jorge Parra is his profound love for history, culture, and life itself. Each work he creates is a declaration of that love: an invitation to travel back in time, to discover new visual narratives, and to connect with the viewer on a visceral and profound level. Day after day, he continues to challenge the limits of creation, leaving a mark that lasts long after his art has been seen.
