Jeep Avenger 4xe: Adventurous DNA for the city and the countryside

Jeep Avenger 4xe: Adventurous DNA for the city and the countryside

Jeep's smallest model, the Avenger, is hybridized in the 4xe version, meeting every need in both urban and rural environments. It comes with a state-of-the-art 48V hybrid system, combining a turbo engine with two 21 kW electric motors, delivering a total power output of 145 hp.

The Overland version is now available to order, featuring full-LED headlights and taillights, 360° parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, multi-color interior ambient lighting, Level 2 driver assistance, and wireless charging for an enhanced driving experience.

The new Jeep Avenger 4xe stands out for its design that balances elegance and robustness. The exterior has been reinforced to ensure complete protection in all driving scenarios. It includes new anti-scratch front bumpers, a specially designed fog light system, and roof rails for additional cargo options.

Inside, the Avenger 4xe prioritizes comfort and practicality. The black roof lining, specific upholstery, and seat material are twice as durable, fully waterproof, and protected by an easy-to-clean stain- and mud-resistant solution.

Its off-road capabilities have improved, as we saw in the Jeep Academy tests. It has increased its ground clearance by an additional 10 mm (now 210 mm), which helps improve its fording ability to 400 mm. The approach angles on slopes have been improved, with an approach angle of 22°, a turning angle of 21°, and departure angles of 35°, along with a ground clearance of 210 mm.

Equipped with an intelligent all-wheel drive system, the Avenger 4xe ensures that 4x4 capabilities are available when needed. Depending on the selected driving mode, at low speeds (between -30 and +30 km/h), permanent four-wheel drive is maintained with a 50:50 torque split. At medium speeds (30 to 90 km/h), rear axle drive is activated only when necessary, while at high speeds (above 90 km/h), the rear electric motor is decoupled from the axle to optimize fuel consumption.

A key component of the Avenger 4xe's power is the 22.7:1 reduction gear on the rear axle, which delivers an impressive 1,900 Nm of rear-wheel torque, ensuring traction even on steep and challenging surfaces. The vehicle can handle gradients of up to 40% on difficult terrain such as gravel and maintain up to 20% traction when the front axle has little or no grip.

The Selec-Terrain system allows drivers to switch between modes tailored to specific driving conditions: Auto, which provides all-wheel drive only when needed, balancing performance and enabling electric driving for up to 1 km in EV mode at less than 30 km/h; Snow, which improves traction and stability, ensuring safety during winter journeys; Sand & Mud, for rough terrain, with specific gear mapping and traction control to maintain grip; Sport, unleashing the full potential of the 4xe system, which includes an E-boost function for rear-wheel torque for faster acceleration. The Avenger 4xe also includes Jeep's unique Multilink rear suspension system, a feature usually found on larger vehicles.

The Avenger 4xe Upland is equipped with a 10.25″ radio display and a 10.25″ full-digital instrument cluster offering seamless integration of infotainment and driving data, providing a modern and connected driving experience.

On winding or mountainous roads, features such as Hill Descent Control provide added confidence, ensuring smooth and controlled descents on steep inclines. For those navigating busy urban environments, the 180° rear camera offers a "drone-view" perspective, making parking and maneuvering easier and safer. In terms of connectivity, the Telematics Box and Connected Services allow drivers to stay informed and have control of vehicle functions via smartphone, adding convenience to the daily driving experience.

The Avenger 4xe is offered in three trim levels: Upland, the exclusive North Face Edition, and Overland.
