Industry and Anfac join forces to design the future of the automobile with the "Spain Auto 2030 Project."

The Ministry of Industry and Tourism and the Spanish Association of Automobile and Truck Manufacturers (ANFAC) have signed a collaboration agreement to launch the "Spain Auto 2030 Project."
This initiative, with a total budget of €380,000, seeks to define a clear roadmap and offer concrete solutions to help the Spanish automotive industry adapt and thrive in the face of new mobility challenges.
The objective is to conduct a thorough strategic reflection and detailed analysis of the current context of the national automobile industry and its value chain.
This includes assessing their current situation and projecting future trends, ranging from electrification and connectivity to sustainability and new regulations.
The project will be jointly funded, with significant contributions from both parties. The Ministry of Industry and Tourism will contribute €130,000, of which €100,000 will be in cash and €30,000 in kind. ANFAC will provide the bulk of the funding, with €250,000, divided into €203,000 in cash and €47,000 in kind.
This agreement establishes a fundamental framework for collaboration between the public sector and private industry, combining knowledge and resources to achieve a project considered vital to Spain's competitiveness in the global automotive industry. Both parties have committed to complying with all applicable legal regulations and the highest ethical standards throughout the project's execution.
The "Spain Auto 2030 Project" will be valid until December 31, 2025, with no possibility of extension, underscoring the urgency and determination to establish a defined strategy within a specific timeframe to address the transformation the global automotive industry is undergoing.
