Attention collectors: Mercedes launches 52 exclusive AMG GT units inspired by the new 'F1' film starring Bratt Pitt and Javier Bardem.

On June 25th, F1 , the summer movie, stars Brad Pitt and Damon Idris. It was filmed during several real Formula 1 Grands Prix around the world and set in the world of motorsport par excellence. The film was made in collaboration with Formula 1 and features all ten official teams and their drivers.

Its arrival on the big screen is accompanied by a highly exclusive special edition produced by Mercedes-AMG: 52 limited-production units of the Mercedes-AMG GT "APXGP Edition." This is a small series of models with numerous aesthetic elements and individual finish and equipment details closely related to the design of the fictional APXGP Formula 1 team from the film, hailed by its producers as one of the most exciting and intense racing films of all time.

Mercedes-AMG, as the official promotional partner of Apple Original Films and Warner Bros. Pictures, supported the film crew with expertise from Formula 1 teams and various AMG models from the current lineup. Among the high-performance vehicles used off-track are an SL, a G-Class, and an AMG GT. The Official FIA F1 Safety Car and the Official FIA F1 Medical Car, both Mercedes-AMG, were also used in the film, which delivers authentic racing action, captivating characters, and a compelling story.

Internationally renowned actors

In the film F1 , a former driver (Bratt Pitt) returns to Formula 1, along with Damson Idris as his teammate in APXGP, a fictional racing team on the grid. The feature film's all-star cast also includes Oscar nominee Kerry Condon, Oscar winner Javier Bardem, Emmy winner Tobias Menzies, and Emmy nominee Sarah Niles. Joseph Kosinski ( Top Gun: Maverick ) directed and produced the film with Jerry Bruckheimer, while co-producers included - among others - Brad Pitt himself and Lewis Hamilton, under the auspices of his Dawn Apollo Films banner.

Black and gold, the main aesthetic theme

The "APXGP Edition," limited to 52 vehicles, is inspired by the film and painted in the APXGP team's special paint. Numerous specific designs have been painstakingly applied by hand to each model. Among others, gold details can be seen on the radiator grille frame, the front wings (checkered flag design), the side skirts, the rear apron, and the diffuser. The 21-inch AMG cross-spoke forged wheels are also painted in matte racing gold.

The standard AMG Carbon Fiber Exterior package, with a front splitter, side sill trim, diffuser, and rear spoiler made of high-quality carbon fiber, is also included in the standard equipment, which includes a panoramic glass roof and the AMG Aerodynamics package with a fixed rear spoiler on the tailgate. The AMG Night II package, meanwhile, enhances the individual look of the exclusive "APXGP Edition" with black chrome elements such as the radiator grille, the AMG crest, the lettering, and the Mercedes star at the rear.

The interior is also characterized by numerous gold accents. The standard AMG Performance seats are upholstered in black nappa leather/microfiber and personalized with gold stitching. AMG carbon fiber trim elements with gold threads harmonize with the heated steering wheel, featuring black 12 o'clock markings and gold racing stitching. These stitching can also be found on the door panels, instrument panel, and center console.

The Mercedes-AMG GT on which these 52 exclusive models have been developed combines exceptional driving dynamics with limitless everyday practicality.
