Toyota: Overview of the new models for 2026

(Motorsport-Total.com/Motor1) - Toyota 's model range will be renewed with two key models in 2026. The first deliveries of the Aygo X facelift (now also available as a full hybrid) and the new generation RAV4, which is fundamentally different from the current model, are expected in the first months of the year.

In addition, we should see the debut of the new Toyota supercar and get a first glimpse of the next Corolla, at least as a prototype.

It's a facelift, but the changes are remarkably extensive. The new front end is just the tip of the iceberg. Added to that is a revised interior and, most importantly, a full hybrid with 116 hp, unveiled for the first time in its history. German prices for the updated Aygo X are not yet known; first deliveries are expected in the first weeks of 2026.

New Toyota Corolla

In fact, it's unlikely that the production model of the next Corolla will be unveiled as early as 2026. Nevertheless, we could soon see a concept that inspires the look of the new generation. After all, the prototype was already announced in recent weeks with a teaser that hints at its rather angular lines.

It seems certain that new generation full hybrid powertrains (and probably plug-in powertrains) will be available, and it is not impossible that a purely electric powertrain will also be introduced.

New Toyota RAV4

The sixth generation of the Toyota RAV4 will launch in spring 2026 – featuring a more striking design, more digitalization, and improved technology. While the dimensions remain unchanged at 4.60 meters in length, the SUV has a more angular appearance, with new V-shaped LED headlights, wider wheel arches, and a redesigned rear end.

Inside, Toyota is focusing on digitalization: a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 12.9-inch touchscreen with Google-based navigation, over-the-air updates, and app control are now included. The new Toyota Safety Sense package also offers numerous assistance systems such as Front Cross Traffic Alert, automatic lane change, and 3D surround view.

The 2.5-liter gasoline engine remains the base engine. The plug-in hybrid gets a 23-kWh battery with up to 100 km of electric range and a 50-kW fast-charging function. The all-wheel-drive version produces 304 hp, the front-wheel-drive version 268 hp. The full hybrid produces 183 hp and 191 hp, respectively. The GR Sport package provides a more dynamic appearance with a sporty look and suspension tuning. Prices have not yet been announced.

New Toyota super sports car

The long-awaited new Japanese supercar will debut in December. Little is known about it, so it's unclear whether it will be released under the Toyota or Lexus brand. In any case, judging by the first teasers and official information, it will be a worthy successor to the legendary LFA , possibly with a twin-turbo V8 producing at least 700 hp under the long hood.
