Traveling through France with a Citroën Holidays: How does this relatively inexpensive campervan compare to an old VW bus? And is it manageable for a family?
A guilty conscience is with us from the very beginning. As we pack up the new van and our old VW T4 California, 30 this year and thus a classic, sits unnoticed by the side of the road, it seems to be sulking: "I was good enough for you for ten years, you spent ten years on holidays with me by the sea and in the mountains, and now you're leaving me for that vain, metallic-green Frenchman?" Our eight-year-old loudly proclaims that she'd rather take our van than the Citroën Holidays.
