Verstappen unhappy with car: "Every weekend there are different scenarios"

The Dutch pilot said that he could not drive efficiently due to the instability of his vehicle and the effect of the wind.

Verstappen commented on his performance on Friday: "It was a very bad day for me, there was no balance in the car. It was very challenging from corner to corner, I think it was a bad day for us in general."

When asked how the wind affected the ride, the Red Bull driver confirmed that it did, but said he did not see it as an excuse: “It affected it a lot, but of course it is not an excuse because everyone has to deal with it. It is not easy, but it is the same for everyone.”

When asked if he was surprised by the car's instability, his answer was clear: "Not really, every weekend there are different scenarios. With the wind here, our car seems to be quite sensitive to this situation. It wasn't an easy day in general."

Asked if they could make some improvements during the night, Verstappen responded cautiously: “Maybe there are a few things we will look at but overall it seems like we are lacking a bit of performance.”

With the Silverstone weekend getting off to a tougher start than expected for Red Bull, it remains to be seen whether the team will be able to find a solution by Saturday.
