Swedish-Chinese joint production model selected as the most reliable electric vehicle with 5 stars!

Swedish-Chinese joint production model selected as the most reliable electric vehicle with 5 stars!

When we say electric car, most of us immediately think: "How many kilometers will it have?" But that's not actually the case.

The latest research shows that the priorities of those considering buying an electric vehicle are quite different. Moreover, while some models fail in crash tests, others are at the top of their game in terms of safety. Let's take a look together: What is really most important for drivers when buying an electric vehicle?

NUMBER 1: RELIABILITY COMES FIRST

What do you look for when buying a new vehicle? Color, model, technology? Maybe... But 91% of a survey of 6,000 people say "reliability first."

Especially an electric vehicle that has few failures and a long life is the first choice. In short, the majority of people say "it is enough for it not to leave me stranded". In other words, range is important, of course, but if the vehicle does not inspire confidence, it is left out of the list.

NUMBER 2: VALUE FOR MONEY IS IMPORTANT

Electric vehicles are still expensive compared to internal combustion engine models, but many drivers find this difference is offset by lower maintenance costs.

89% of those surveyed say they pay attention to the balance between purchase price and usage costs. In other words, the prevailing logic is "I'll pay more at first but don't want to hurt my pocket later."

NUMBER 3: SECURITY IS NEVER NEGLECTED

Details such as driver assistance systems, lane departure warnings, rearview cameras and parking sensors play a decisive role in choosing a car. 83% of participants see such safety equipment as essential.

But it doesn't just end with active safety systems. How much can they protect passengers in the event of an accident? All eyes are on the Euro NCAP tests for the answer to this question.

TESTS FAILERS AND STARS

The European New Car Assessment Program (Euro NCAP) crash-tests new models. And the results of these tests are a complete fiasco for some...

For example, the Dacia Spring received only 1 star, while the Renault Zoe fell far short of the confidence class with zero stars. However, all six electric models tested this year received 5 stars. One of them stood out.

THE WINNER IS CLEAR: POLESTAR 3 IS AT THE TOP!

The Swedish-Chinese joint production Polestar 3 has attracted attention as the model that best protects not only its passengers but also other road users in the area. It has virtually raised the bar in safety.

The Audi A6 e-tron comes in second place. Another European model in the top six was the Mini Cooper E.

All the remaining models in the top six are of Chinese origin. In other words, the prejudice that "Chinese goods are cheap but of poor quality" is no longer valid here. The new generation of Chinese electric vehicles is also ambitious in terms of safety.
